ordering from the collections
The selection for this is easy! You can change the type of paper/paper-color, ink color, and printing method. All other elements are completely fixed. The process is simple:
1 / YOU CHOOSE
Explore the Collection Suites to choose the design that best suits your style and the aesthetic you're going for. Things that are fixed and cannot change: the font, the size of the papers and the layout. You can freely change font colors and colors of graphic elements that aren't watercolor, which cannot change. If you would like to make additional adjustments, it might be best to go for semi-custom invitations instead (see the following section for this).
2 / I PRICE OUT
Once we've locked down what you would like, you'll receive a price quote for what you'd like. If you accept the pricing, then a 50% deposit is required, and from there you're in my production calendar.
3 / THE DESIGN STARTS
This will include 1 complimentary round of changes for designs for the full suite based on everything discussed. Any revisions exceeding the complimentary rounds is an additional $30 per hour.
4 / WE GO INTO PRODUCTION
We go into production: Once you’re in love with the final design, then a second installment is required to put things into production. This is 25% of the invoice, which will reflect any changes that have been made during the designing process. Depending on the printing methods and any additional embellishments, production takes from 1.5 week to 2.5 weeks. This is because I also quality check each item to make sure that it’s to my standards before it arrives to you. During this process, you’re welcome to decide if you would like me to do any portion of assembly for you that isn’t otherwise included. The price for assembly ranges between $1.25 to $3.50 per set depending on complexity. After weighing a sample set and letting you know of the postage, I’ll give you a choice of (1) sending me stamps of your choice, (2) giving you suggestions of stamps and you purchase and ship them to me, or (3) handling the process of sourcing stamps for a small mark-up fee.
If you would like to handle printing services yourself to reduce costs, I can provide final files for you with crop marks. Tea Jam Studio will not be held responsible for the final quality of your prints if you choose this option. If you would like digital files of your final designs so as to send them to guests digitally, I can also provide final files for you.
5 / DELIVERY + EXCITEMENT
You either receive your lovely stationery, or I can do the mailing for you and send you a set for you to hold on to. Either way, your guests will be excited to receive your invitations in the mail!
ordering semi-custom invitations
+
investing
If you like something from my collection but you want to add a little more personalization to it, semi-custom may work for you. With collection invitations, the ink color/paper colors/paper types can be changed, as well as the printing methods, but the designs would remain exactly as you see it. Semi-custom gives you a little more wriggle room to make the invitations more to your desires. Things that are considered semi-custom are invitations with venue illustrations, invitations with monogrammed elements.
A little time and labor go into this process, so it's an investment for you, as you're able to reuse newly created items throughout the suite—for Save the Dates, Invitations, Day-of Stationery, Thank You Notes, and more!
1 / YOU CHOOSE + CUSTOMIZE
Explore the Collection Suites to choose the base model that best suits your style and the aesthetic you're going for. The Semi-Custom Collection allows you to personalize your invitations by choosing the type of paper, ink color, printing method, etc. Slight adjustments to the color of the graphics can be made without affecting pricing, but if you want to start adding design elements—even small ones—these raise the price of the semi-customization, or—depending on the scope—may be better for fully-customized/bespoke invitations.
2 / I PROPOSE
Once we've locked down what you would like, you'll receive a price quote for your semi customization. If you accept the pricing, then a 50% deposit is required, and from there you're in my production calendar.
3 / THE DESIGN STARTS
You'll be given two full-suite sets of designs so that you can see the design in two font styles. You will also have 2 complimentary rounds of changes based on everything discussed. Any revisions exceeding the complimentary rounds is an additional $30 per hour. Depending on the scope of the semi-customization designs, this can be anywhere from a three-to-five-week process, or it can be done faster if you wish to go with rush ordering and rush fees.
